Crews, Daumit and Iwashyna Elected to AAP

Three members of the DOM were elected into the Association of American Physicians (AAP) at a ceremony in Chicago in April. The AAP is an honorary medical society
founded in 1885 by Sir William Osler and six other distinguished physicians of his era.

  • Dr. Deidra Crews, professor in the Division of Nephrology and deputy director, Johns Hopkins Center for Health Equity
  • Dr. Gail Daumit, professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine and vice dean for clinical investigation
  • Dr. Theodore Iwashyna, professor in the Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine and Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Social Science and Justice in Medicine
