Janette Manrara says it’s ‘hard to say goodbye’ after ‘complicated’ separation from family | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

It Takes Two host Janette Manrara has admitted she’s still struggling with being away from her baby daughter Lyra and pro-dancer husband Aljaž Škorjanec for long stretches. The 40-year-old presenter and choreographer is busy touring as part of the Strictly Come Dancing Live shows.

She took to her Instagram Stories and shared with her 600,000 followers that while she loves her job, the work-life balance is proving tricky.

“Just left home…,” she wrote alongside a snap of herself in a car. “Will not see Lyra and Aljaz for 6 days this time around. It’s too complicated with where we are on tour.

“Was lucky to be able to get back home every day last week. Always hard to say goodbye, but being able to do what I love and entertain audiences makes my heart sing.

“I want Lyra to always feel that mami loves her and is a great mother, but to also see that she worked really hard towards her own dreams. It’s not easy, but it’s not impossible.”

“So she stays home with my mum and then this morning I flew into London from Belfast for It Takes Two tonight.

“So the schedule’s pretty crazy… and I really miss Lyra…”

The new mum recently confessed to having a “sense of guilt” about returning to work six weeks after the birth of her daughter in July, following cruel comments from online trolls.
