Taylor Swift has fan girl moment with Paul McCartney inside £1m Super Bowl suite | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Taylor Swift had a star-struck moment with Beatles legend Paul McCartney at the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. The pop princess, who flew in from her Tokyo Eras Tour for the big game, was spotted in a luxury suite with famous pals Brittany Mahomes, Blake Lively and Ice Spice.

The suite, which costs between $800K and $2.5 million at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium, was also shared with Paul McCartney. The Beatles icon was seen greeting Ed Kelce, dad of Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs.

McCartney, dressed in black, was also introduced to Travis Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles. Later, he was seen chatting with Swift, whom he praised for her songwriting in a 2020 Rolling Stone interview.

In a BBC interview, McCartney described Swift’s bond with her fans as ‘sisterly’. He said: “I was actually thinking about Taylor Swift and her relationship to her young fans and how it’s sort of a sisterly thing.”

‘And I was imagining talking to one of these young fans and saying, “Have you ever been bullied? Do you get bullied?”‘ he said.

‘Then I say, “Who cares about the idiots? Who cares about all this? Who cares about you? Well… I do,”‘ he said.

Swift also shared that when they first met for their 2020 interview, she asked him for a favour. ‘We walk into his office for a chat, and after I make a nervous request, Paul is kind enough to handwrite my favourite lyric of his and sign it,’ Swift said.

The lyric was – ‘Take these broken wings and learn to fly,’ from The Beatles’ iconic 1968 song Blackbird.

‘He makes a joke about me selling it, and I laugh because it’s something I know I’ll cherish for the rest of my life,’ she added.

McCartney most recently released the album McCartney III back in December 2020 though it’s unclear if he’s working on new music.

Swift just recently announced at the Grammy Awards that she’ll release her new album The Tortured Poet’s Department on April 19.
